Dana White to Start Fight Island

Dana White is planning on purchasing a private island to have UFC fights during the pandemic

It has been a total of 39 days without sports and sports fans would do anything to make them come back as soon as possible, and Dana White could be that savior to fans all around the world. The President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced that he is in the process of purchasing a private island to have fights every week.

UFC 249 was the last event that was supposed to take place this past Friday night on April 18th, but it was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was originally supposed to take place at the Barclays Center in New York City. Originally after the Barclays Center cancelled White said that he had an undisclosed location that the fights would be taking place at, however this also happened after he lost multiple fights for the event including his main event which was supposed to be Khabib Nurmagomedov defending his lightweight championship against former champion Tony Ferguson.

After the travel ban went into place Khabib was no longer able to fly to the United States for the fight. The new main card for the event would be Ferguson vs Justin Gaethje. Unfortunately for sport fans the card was cancelled nine days before the event was scheduled to take place.

All eyes now turn to Dana White as he has just filed to trademark the name of Fight Island for the UFC. It will be a great investment for the UFC in my opinion if they are able to get the fighters to the island and are able to test them before and when they arrive so they know it is safe for the fighters and staff.
