Lawmakers have introduced a bill that if passed would set new standards for the food sold in schools. The bill would not allow foods high in sugars and fat to be sold. According to the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, childhood obesity is on the rise. Lawmakers hope that the new bill would help students’ live healthier lives and decrease childhood obesity rates.
