For the next few weeks, Lake Compounce amusement park will celebrate the Halloween season with it’s beloved “Haunted Graveyard” attraction. The attraction is comprised of a mile-long walk through over a dozen Haunted houses ranging from catacombs to a hospital all linked together by the titular graveyard.
In addition to the graveyard, Lake Compounce is home to a plethora of more traditional park attractions. It’s flagship attraction “Boulder Dash” has consistently been ranked as one of the world’s top five wooden roller coasters since it’s construction, and the new “Phobia” coaster is a can’t miss attraction.
The “Haunted Graveyard” is the brainchild of Ernie Romegailli who started the attraction in his yard over 25 years ago. Since then, he hasn’t missed a single opening night. The attraction was moved to Lake Compounce Amusement park in 1990 and has been entertaining guests ever since.
