Fall Weekend

The university’s annual fall weekend is being held October 2nd-4th and the university has lots in store for this year. They have done a lot of work to make sure this years fall weekend is their best ever.
The university has been planning several activities which will be open to students, as well as parents and alumni.
On Friday night, the Konover great room will be transformed into a fully functional casino, with an “in flight” theme. When guests climb on board, they will able to visit four destinations: Dublin, Paris, New Orleans, and Cancun.
The cost for students is $20, which will cover everything including food and drinks. The cost will get you playing chips, which everyone will be able to trade in for raffle tickets at the end of the night. The alumni office will be giving away 50 prizes, including a GPS, an iPod, and a $1000 gift certificate for Southwest Airlines.
Also on Friday night, Rockapella will be performing at 8pm in Lincoln theater, with the university’s own L’Shir opening for them. Tickets are $35. Saturday, an alumni artisan marketplace will take place at 11am and at the same time, an alumni musician spotlight will be going on.
The big event for Saturday evening is the 5th annual anchor awards ceremony where alumni from each school or college who have distinguished themselves in their profession will be honored.
